The title is an oximoron of course. DES is too complex for such a statement to be true. In my endeavours to get a good understanding of it's business it has lead me to beleive that they need to start seriously marketing themselves to brokers, shareholders and investors.
Sweeping Generalisation of "DESTRA MEDIA" and DESTRA Entertainment" are all great when it comes to reporting but how can one really get a handle on the business? Even their Brokers report stated "Investors have difficulty understanding destra’s business model, which could hinder sentiment towards the stock." No kidding.
Heres some of what I think should be explained in more detail to would be investors, these are owned or run by DES.

Easy isn't it, feel more comfortable about the rights issue now?
I visit these websites and ask myself how they are going, as in, much money do they make, whats their growth rate like? How many unique browsers do they get a month? (although I found a source) How many songs are downloaded? And do I have to figure this out myself?
I find new stuff on them too like this from BNM -
THE RETAIL NETWORK
The future of out of home advertising is here. Brand New Media announce the arrival of The Retail Network - Australia's most innovative shopping centre network.
Our product is a unique circular display screen, enabling a single digital input to be redistributed across multiple screens.
Our units will be positioned in prime traffic areas throughout Australia's leading shopping centres and precincts through the Colonial First State Property Management Group.
For the advertiser, The Retail Network’s content will be highly engaging, blending branded editorial, advertorial and commercial messages, offering the unique sight and sound experience only TV can provide.
On Average 3,000,000 shoppers are exposed to the retail network every week.
Approximately 80% of shoppers visit the food court. They spend on average 18 minutes in the food court.
I thought it was of interest This is the stuff you'd think would come by newsletter service offered by DES, if it didn't warrant an announcement.
Anyway I hope the DES executives read this and act on it. Hell I'll even do it for them for a fair price.
Appologies if its longwinded, I'll shut up now.
Oscar
PS if you take the time to trawl through those web sites you'll find DES a very interesting company, and perhaps feel a little more comfortable with your holdings. Works for me.
