Interesting posts here. The volumes of gas set to pass through Gladstone island is literally going to explode. Word on the street is that for all the modelling on CSG production in QLD, the actual rates are proving challenging. Not something a major wants to hear when they've committed billions to new LNG processing trains. Having said this, each of the players have a backup plan; sto & origin in the cooper and Qgc via arrow, assuming the shell merger gets up.

At this point, no player has actually devised a larger scale plan on sourcing gas from basin-centred fractured rocks. The economics do not stack up here; spending 40m to get ~1.0mmcfgd does not make sense when plenty of rocks in the cooper are traditional and tight gas plays, stable producers of 3.0+mmcfgd for less than 5m, and in most cases, are blessed with a liquids kicker. No brainer. Gas supply will follow the economics where hope is not a consideration, therefore, invest accordingly, imho.

PS. Not sure if BL is bagging DLS or is just a little bitter.
