I don't beleive that's the case Barry. For deposits that require trucking/rail transport like Wonarah I agree. But for a deposit with a slurry pipeline to the coast cost would be a lot lower. Current rock phosphate price of about $120US fob = $160AUD/t fob which is not that bad. As I said before and it's an IF, whoever has the option was to deal on access to the Century pipeline and infrastructure or has deep pockets like IFFCO to build a new pipeline Highland Plains could well be a low cost profitable operation.
There are plenty of IF's and it might not happen but for Highland Plains I beleive it's possible, what the new option holders plans are and what will eventuate time will tell.
