You are right about everything here, and ethically there was a lack of transparency for Shareholders but legally there was no crime or law broken or ASIC violation that I am aware of - otherwise they would not be trading. I would like to see the details of the CA judgement though just out of curiosity because the judgement seems to be at least an admission of guilt.

And also I agree that when you are talking about a billion dollar mergers using debt and capital raising D&O insurance should be mandatory. Even my piece of sht Honda is insured.
