Both are likely to result in litigants running their own claims, and the government must create an online system that enables them to handle them without representation.
This is for claims up to 5k sterling.
Considering the astronomical fees and charges that Lawyers/Solicitors/Ambulance chasers are somehow still legally allowed to charge, a claim worth up to 5k or say $AU10k can't possibly take much time and effort so it shouldn't be too hard to create an online system, people are either involved in an accident and injured or they arn't, surely a doctor knows if someone has injuries, i doubt many doctors go and ask a Lawyer if his patient has suffered injuries! I don't see the need for Lawyers in small claims, it just adds financial suffering to the injured person.

Increasing the small claims limit is ‘appropriate’ given the increase in compensation levels, and claims under £5,000 will be minor and straightforward enough not to require a lawyer.
Increase to compensation levels is a good thing for claimants and because these cases are so straight forward and don't require a Lawyer the online system would eliminate all the stress and BS people have to endure by dealing with the greedy buggers. I don't know anyone that ever likes the experience of dealing with Solicitors.

Obviously and like we all know Lawyers and high rates of unmeritorious claims are linked at the hip at the very least. Obviously Lawyers themselves have ensured these types of reforms to be inevitable, they've brought it on themselves because of how they roll, at least the Police and more recently in the political arena they try and weed out the bad eggs but these Lawyers don't seen to give a stuff about how honest and ethical the general population views them.
