That's what most fund managers do... try n outperform the benchmark. I try to do the same but via ETFs or investing in funds.... nothing new or fishy about it...sgh brings in the beta to my portfolio...mgc did now hoping sgh will then next in line is McGrath n I recently dipped into telstra which I have no clue if that's alpha or beta...lol no one knows what it will do...
