I have been waiting for some time now to see some serious buying come in for this stock. The points you have raised are all accurate and the reason I am a shareholder in EEG.
It would not surprise me to see a company like Sinopec for instance make a play for EEG. Is there an easier way to get a foothold in the areas where both Santos and Origin currently find themselves. I wouldn't think so.
If they can sell off their U.S assets which appear to be doing well then the market will start looking closely at them. They cannot advance this project in the N.T on their own obviously, but a big brother could be waiting in the wings ready to make a move.
If they do sell their U.S assets and erase their debt then we could be looking at double the price very quickly. Why anyone would be selling at these levels is beyond any comprehension given the company has announced to the market that there are interested parties..
They do have a few things going for them from where I am sitting. Perhaps because they have been an underachiever for quite some time the market is not paying much attention to them.
