I saw it as an excellent umpiring decision. It was crowded with seven or eight players and Leaping Leo wound up from a run in and there was really no way Sampi or Judd or anyone else were ever going to take it even if there was some technical interference or not. It was the mark of the year and came in about the 33rd minute.

In fact the umpiring was really fair in the game although there could have been a few questions about the ball being out called by line umpires. Big difference from that disgraceful umpiring at Subiaco a couple of weeks back where the eagles were given a conservative six goal advantage. That was a bloody joke.
