Washington Soul Chairman Rob Millner said the outlook for fiscal 2009 remained positive,
Agricultural products and services company Ruralco Holdings Ltd and health food sector foodstuff maker Clover Corporation Ltd were "good little investments", he said.
"New Hope's got about $2.7 billion, our phone rings hot and people know we've got money," Mr Millner said.
"So I think we might pick up a few bargains going forward."
"Clover is going from strength to strength, SP Telemedia will have a better year and so will Ruralco.
Washington Soul reported a final dividend of 18 cents for 2007/08 up from 17 cents in the prior year.
