"Price is what you pay, value is what you get".
I only now realise how true this statement is. Looking back on my last few years apprenticeship in the stockmarket, in the dozens of companies i have been in and out of during the commodities boom, only a couple held any real true value. The rest are or were plainly speculative, regardless of the % gained, they were mostly gambling.
I re-read "Buffetolodgy" as it is the book that gave me the initial inspiration 12 years ago. Too bad i forgot the message when i started investing 5 years ago. Any cowboy can make money in a boom or bubble.
ClarkKent, put me onto a book called "Snowball" and it is going to be my XMAS read whilst on holidays. If it was not for him i think i would not have heard of ARG, so cheers Clakers if your out there.
