Had another thought related to GIR (which I hold) last night. GIR has lots of DSO resources around the place including up the (hypothetical) track from GWR, and some within easy trucking distance from port. The main reason GIR hasn't got much more attention is a lot of its grades are closer to the 58% Fe mark.
Take 3t of 58% Fe which is 130km from port, mix with 1t of 67% Fe 400km from port and you have 4t of >60% Fe less than 200 km from port (on average). IMO the market would ascribe a higher value to all four of those tonnes as they are now all both high grade and accessible to market.
Would love to see some of the juniors get together and try to capture some of this additional value themselves rather than let the customers reap the spoils at the destination.
