Perhaps of general interest. Don't know if people have followed Chipotle in the US at all. Their problems began in 2015 with an outbreak of E coli among customers in several states. Last year they closed  two stores due to two food poisoning incidents.

In a recent survey 37% of respondents cited food safety as a reason they were eating there less ( at all?) and it has been suggested by analysts that other respondents had been driven to other alternatives in the market due to the safety scares and had found them better.

Their share price has fallen by around 50% and their CEO has stood down in December.

Not saying that CT1 would have avoided all problems as many may have been due to food not being kept warm enough or from staff hygiene issues however it does go to show the competitive fast food environment and how food safety issues can cripple a company.
