I personally wouldn't Markie. I saw a Morningstar re-rating today giving intrinsic value of 60c, putiing the 50c raising in its Hold rating. It also recommended holders not take up the offer, and didn't think the big players would. And on top of that, they said they would stop covering ASB to concentrate on more stable businesses.
The underlying factor. They cannot make a profit.
