Don't know about the strength of these particular beams, but, ply can be astonishingly strong - also, I can't remember which exact product - but, I was looking at some fire ratings on a particular ply back a couple of years and it's behaviour in flame was very good - the outer layer of the ply charred and the rest survived perfectly.
