It’s got plenty of electrical cables running through it, as the main power box is below floor level. The under-the-house space is full height down to 1200mm, with heaps of “stuff” stored there and three boys under eight who’ll be using it for a play area. Very well ventilated, a fire trap waiting for a match.
But fire safety aside, how long will the ply last in Qld’s variable humidity? I suppose the inner ply will be protected from that by the glue layer, but the outer layers are vertical grain, so more prone to splitting along the grain.
I agree, steel or concrete floors. Or thick timber joists.
