Unfortunately you’re right Al850n: some directors do fail in their duties owed to shareholders, whether through ignorance/inadvertence/neglect, or because of self-interest or worse.

I'm not implying anything here (no personal comments about the directors, folks), but shareholders always need to be vigilant to warning signs in such transactions. If we do see warning signs, we must speak up! Shareholders are the owners of a company and can make their voices heard - very loudly if necessary.

As you say, the jury is out at present. There will be a lot of scrutiny of any transaction here, because the main asset of the company – an obviously desirable and rare, world class asset – might be offered for sale by the Directors, rather than being kept in the Rox stable where shareholders would retain 100% ownership of the interest.

If these zinc assets are to be sold the consideration will need to be world class, too. A transaction of some kind seems inevitable here but the Directors will have to clearly demonstrate, after testing the market, what's in shareholders' best interests.

It's clear that if other small companies can raise money against the assets, Rox Directors should be able to do so, too.
