I agree with you mate. I have never understood how SOI could be a factor.
I think traders see a large amount of SOI as a risk that massive dumps will drive the SP down. IMO this shouldn't matter as a companies SP is driven by supply and demand. No matter how many SOI, if there are no offers at the current bid then buyers need to step up if they want a piece of the action.
This is all IMO - I am certainly no expert and would appreciate the comments of more experienced traders to shed some light on this.
