Captainblood, it seems to me that practically every week there are announcements of battery breakthroughs from one group of researchers or another. As most of us know, many will never seee the light of day and those that do are still a number of years away from production.

I don't know how many times I've had family or friends ask me about 'how is that battery company going' only to then give me the 'bad' news about a breakthrough by another company. The average Joe doesn't really get the difference between a completely new battery chemistry and a 'drop in' improvement in the current LI battery.

ADO are not re inventing the wheel. We understand that and we can be sure that the manufacturers understand that. What's the holdup? Dunno. But when one of these manufacturers commits, it'll be on for young and old. There will be gnashing of teeth from the nay sayers which will be music to my ears.
