My understanding was there was no substantive dispute over fees, Fotios just didn't want to pay them until forced to, on the steps of the Court. EGS and other Fotios entities have a huge track record of not paying employees or suppliers on time. They also have been very tardy on meeting reporting requirements. Looks like he was treating the ATO with the same disdain as everyone else, then when he got busted, blaming his ex-bookkeeper(!!!), accountants and being "busy". From what I've heard, it's due to a combination of micro-management, poor systems, but above all, poor ethics.
