Prices of Tiger & Virgin vs QAN domestic carrier & Jetstar r uncompetitive according to analysts for the major Aussie domestic sectors.
I did not know until this evening that Sydney to Melbourne was the third busiest air route in the globe. In little Australia, more popular than JFK to Chicago/ Phily, Tokyo to Osaka, London (Heathrow) to Paris.
QAN killing it as the analysts point out mean tht AIZ, Singapore & Etihad will start to pull out.
Perhaps people avoid Tiger on safety concerns but analyst stats seem to indicate that load share on the maiin route is uncompetitive probably down to price if not safety IMHO but pls DYOR.
VAH needs a price war, it might be it's only hope of survival.
