I have sympathy for the people in PNG V_H, especially coming as I do from NZ.
They need to keep that plant shut due to aftershocks, Force Majeure provisions apply. The business is exposed to these sorts of risks but it's a very low cost producing asset that one.
Another post for the $50-60 new normal or tight oil bubble archive. Note how the breakeven in the U.S.has risen with the increase in activity.
$50-60 seems like a distant memory now and I have to think in a year or two the economy will be dreaming of $65 oil while suffering a living nightmare of $90-100. Hope that speeds the transition to renewables.
