Terence Daintith is a Professorial Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London, where he was Director from 1988 to 1995. Previously he taught at the Universities of California (Berkeley), Dundee and Edinburgh, and was a research professor at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. His main research interests are in the fields of oil and gas law, regulation and constitutional law. His most recent book is Finders Keepers? How the Law of Capture Shaped the World Oil Industry (2010). He also is co-editor of Daintith, Willoughby and Hill’s multi-volume United Kingdom Oil and Gas Law and founding editor of the Journal of Energy and Natural Resources Law.
