I think you'll find that most chartists know that they're not influencing the market at all ..but just simply reading it and commenting on it, the suspicion that charters are trying to fool people just isn't true, we don't need to.. also most investors have only 1 view and that's that their stock is going one way ..up! either now or eventually..
as a result of that thinking some only hear half of what a chartist is saying..ie "if price reaches X then a breakout is likely to happen....but in this bear market for specs most stocks aren't reaching X...no ones changing things in hindsight..were just not getting the bullish triggers at the moment.
