If a hostile takeover was launched, it's a certainty that a bidding war would break out. Once the chips are production ready, there are numerous big players that would be after 4DS. Certainly a scrip offer would be desirable from a big player. Why hand over a massive capital gain (even with 50% relief), enjoy the dividends, borrow against the new scrip, and collect all over again as the world's storage is replaced with 4DS chips.
