    Back in June 2006, when the management at the time first announced that they would be transforming the company (previously a surfwear retailer) into a hi-tech scooter company, they cited high petrol prices as one of the key arguments behind the shift:

    ..."With record high prices at the petrol pump, scooters are becoming a very attractive alternative to motor vehicles to a growing number of people.'"

    Certainly, it is possible I could be wrong about the relationship between the oil price and the Vmoto sales figures. But with the both the Brent and WTI oil price now well above the $60 mark, and looking as if they might be headed higher, it con't be too long before we find out.
