Mitchell’s Awarded Western Australian Government Campaign Advertising Services Contract
Within just weeks of announcing the acquisition of the remaining 49% of the issued capital in Mitchell & Partners Western Australia that it did not own, Mitchell Communication Group (ASX: MCU, “Mitchells”) today confirms that it has been successful in tendering for the Western Australian Government Campaign Advertising Services contract.
The contract is for the provision of Campaign Advertising Services for the whole-of-government and other approved users for a period of three years from 1 August 2008 to July 2011, with the potential for one extension of two years.
The Western Australian Government spent over $40m in Campaign Advertising during 2007/08.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr Stuart Mitchell, Chief Executive Officer of Mitchell Communication Group said, “The Western Australian Government is one of the largest and most comprehensive accounts in Australia. We are extremely pleased to be awarded this contract. The process was exhaustive and hotly contested, with the incumbent having serviced the business exclusively for over 18 years.
