I hope I didn't come across to harsh on you before. Was actually just feeling your pain as, like @morgenlofting said, I have also been there and done similar things and it's painful to lock in a loss but it's also more painful to see your capital continue to decline, especially when the stress of it begins to seep into every other aspect of your life. While I wouldn't personally recommend ever buying stock based purely on momentum and an increasing share price alone, remember that a profit is a profit. Get in, get it done and get out.
