By no means advice, more just an idea, perhaps look @ using a multiple of the 'Average True Range' metric to define 'Stop-Losses' for each trade, to limit 'risk', after all, investment, at it's core, is really about risk-management...
It works reasonably well for me, I myself generically use a multiple of 2x... I use a trailing-stop once there is some 'room/fat' in the daily price/ATR range, prior, just a 'fixed' figure...
I was 'stopped-out' yesterday on BLA with a ~5% profit, should've really also kept a trailing 'take-profit' when it hit 15% or $2.50...
Live and learn I guess, it's the nature of the game...
