removing himself from his post to allow another NED to take up the role of chairman was an appropriate move given the number of board meetings / meetings with lawyers etc that would be required to stave off such a bid... the only issue was that by having such a high profile chairman, his duties as chairman of tdo were always going to be second fiddle to his more time consuming roles

sinking ship? - oh you meant tdo!... i thought you may have meant that dls was a sinking ship and trying to grab onto a tug boat in the form of tdo to try and resurrect their failed operations. the more i read about dls, the worse their company seems. I am not as sceptical as others (dimma), but i must say that whoever has been given advice to sell up their tdo shares must rethink the implications of their actions - ie they wont be able to recover their dls shares for the offer they have received on their tdo compared to what the market is currently offering.
The smartest thing they could do, is get a second opinion from a well credited financial advisor and get their opinion on the matter
