It seems that the value of gas supplied to export LNG plants is in the vicinity of $4.50 - $5.00 p/gj (AOE Presentation 18 July 2007). This figure is ballpark only because gas prices have moved and we don't know on what basis that price is calculated - but it gives us an idea.
Thus if MOS supplies 75PJ a year, then the gas in storage is worth 75 million gj - so the sales price of the gas in storage could be worth around $375 million !!!
That could be turned-over "X" number of times per year?
Thus these are clearly big numbers for MOS - even if it gets a toll for storage and transport - it means significant money for MOS.
