very interesting Strauss. It is true the original Bendigo gold was very nuggety and resources difficult to prove up...and yet they still pulled out millions of ounces. Only thing was, as I understand one load of ore would be poor grade and the next a bonanza. By all accounts there is still a butt load of gold under Bendigo but in the old days it was water and poor pump technology that beat them. Why the modern Bendigo Gold failed was because they have built the city over the old gold mines. The plan was to start tunneling from each end of town kilometres away and mine the lower but still economic grades on the way to keep the project going until they got to the mother lode. Ultimately those lower grades weren't there and the thing went belly up. It would be nice to think that CYL had a Bendigo type resource without a city sitting on top of it. I am a little sus of nuggety resources though (once bitten and all that) but plus I have seen a director who shall not be named elsewhere with whom I have had a previous bad experience pushing a nuggety resource elsewhere and I couldn't help but wonder if in his case the nuggety resource was not a bit like the emperor's new clothes.

I tell you who is a bit clued up about gold in this region is the poster @bendigo . Perhaps he may chime in and offer you some insights.
