3000 happy little gondwanamites

did anybody notice the tactic that gda used, when releasing their last report (notice of AGM/proxyform)??? - it was on the last day of the week and at the end of the day. this was a good tactic by gda - because the affairs of the nation were focused on james hird (and hence the essondon football club) , boat people and the death of M Thatcher.

the notice of meeting, that nobody noticed - except for the vigilant oversight by watso - included resolutions to re elect directors. the directors will no doubt get re elected, for no other reason than the undemocratic voting system.

the report showed that there were about 3000 shareholders who held less than a marketable parcel - and those 3000 shareholders held about 10% of the company. by contrast there are less than 200 people who own a marketable parcel of shares.

gondwanaland should be like any advanced democracy - ie one man, one vote - irrespective of the relative wealth of the holder - but it is not like that at all... also included in the notice of meeting is some stuff about disenfranchising holders, by making it easier for the company to get rid of the small holder - and simply sell his shares.
