bb, I got a great laugh at the first half of your first sentence

All the governments we’ve had Don’t need any encouragement to Tilt at Windmills if there’s a chance to add a tax!

Deisel prices higher than petrol and didn’t gas prices get a kick in the bum about 30 years ago?

just after the surge in gas conversions?

I’ve changed my tack and have run up the spinnaker, with those who want to argue the toss on the science that has lead to these conversations.

It is mute point as all parties can justify an increase in taxes on virtually every thing.

The only thing we ( as individuals) can do is to keep asking for proof of how this money raised has helped the environment.

Ok it is almost as pointless as arguing over CO2

but better that than arguing about CC science that’ll take another 100 plus years to be proven right or wrong, none of us have that kinda time
