Most EVs consume around 18KWh / 100 km. Or about 90KWh for 500 Km. Electricity in Qld is +/- 0.30c per KWh. So it’s $27 per 500 Km.. agreed these are approximate figures but it’s in the ballpark, electricity is not as cheap as everyone thinks.
Now, if you were living in China, it’s an entirely different kettle of fish. They pay slightly less than 0.11c/KWh about a third of what we pay here. And they’re burning ever more coal every year to do this.
