Coal and oil are renewables if you want to wait long enough I guess.
Just because stuff is renewable doesn't mean it is usuable. Wood pellets could be practical if they're a left over from another process and destined for landfill. If they offset other fossil fuels e.g. coal then it might make sense to burn them rather than mine extra coal.
But if you are producing wood pellets to burn then that doesn't make too much sense to me unless you have a super clean burning process ?
