On Monday 9th, MPJ reported drilling in progress for hole 0024, (the next logical hole number after 0023). It is out west RH_C8 so that hole should have been completed or very nearly so.

So they appreciate what has come out of the ground(!) and an announcement can happen any time, if not today when Perth wakes up, then almost certainly Monday.

MPJ mostly never detail which ones are Category 1, but if this one was and their aim was good.... well...

There is mention often about MLEM and FLEM and if anyone is interested in going into it and finding out how the systems work there is a good Uni of Qld paper on it. MLEM is more for general reconnaissance.

Also there is good info on DHEM around.. how it works and how good it is. Big loop on the ground and in the middle is a small truck-mounted winch. A kevlar reinforced cable goes across to the PVC tube poking out of the ground and on the end of the cable is the probe. Guy sits in the chair next to it with a beer, and goes fishing down the hole (hence the name Down Hole).

It seems very good.. but 0013, 0004, 0005, 0023 all had DHEM data and still NO FIND on this phantom strong conductor.

It is clear in the paper that FLEM is the go for really nailing it down, at least preliminary from the surface.

Much more complex interpretation software is required for it obviously.
The Sirius discovery was listed as being from conductor 1 which was MLEM, with no reference to any FLEM being done on it to refine it... so you can be lucky!

Also the Thin Plate modelling technique for conductors is discussed. It is useful for conductors that are more stratabound like Nickel Sulphide. Modelled plates are attributed characteristics like depth, dip, dip extent, strike and a conductivity thickness (conductivity x thickness)... like Roe 2.

A thick and highly conductive ore body (plate) being very desireable.... as per recent Roe 2 : ROE2_ C4_A and B which look fantastic. FLEM surveys were reported as completed here so obviously the boys are rather interested!!.. and it's ready to go.

I propose the next target as Roe 2 !! Am a big Roe 2 fan, but Narrow Neck is a close second. (followed maybe by Great Southern Anomaly one day?)

Tech data on the Narrow Neck conductors was unfortunately not quoted (as it was for Roe 2) , but then the plates may not have been modelled and written up at the time of the announcement.

With all this disseminated and blebby-blobby nickel around and so many of the top conductors showing along the sides of the Komatiite flows in "geologically favourable positions", you would think they could not miss at some point.. and won't!

One hole completed for 400m (8%) and 4600m to go for reporting... excluding ORTL9. So can say 10% of reporting program completed. 90% to go.
