BHP are totally surrounding QRL. They can operate in PNG as is evidenced by the ownership of all the surrounding leases. Why would they not want to own this ground for the future?I would not be suprised to see a corporate move if this ground comes in. They may have to drill several deeper holes to better understand what its sitting on. QRL would be a strategic holding for them and a super cheap company to buy - even at $1 on early success. There remains other upside from other interested parties as well. It maybe a case of who blinks first or offers up a great deal to expand exploration. 20 major gold/copper prospects and the recent new EL's are all nice land pick ups for a major. I personally think its only a matter of time. Time will tell its own story. QRL is already down about 500m in the MAL and nearly 300m down hole in the Tekem deposit. They are both mineralised at surface. dyor.
