I think FLT have been doing a slight Macquarie bank in their strategy - they are purchasing more annuities style businesses to stabilise potential revenues lost from travel agent business. Tour operators on the ground with the services the traveller actually wants to consume (not just flights) while still expanding their core business like USA corporate travel and buying competitors in key regions.

FLT are very flexible to adopting to change - the only risk is another world wide recession or travel scare (short term)

I see value for accumulation under 30

FLT do match prices so i normally try to find the flights then keep my money flowing back through an Australian company first, then through a company that i am a shareholder in second. obviously if FLT don't partner with Easy Jet then they can't match that flight but the great thing is that they can hold flights for while you sort it out. in the end if it 200 cheaper do do on your own for one leg of the flight great but for peace of mind and conveinence anything under that ill just pay the travel agent at FLT.

Travel agents get so much flak from the public sometimes put yourself in their shoes and support a local job - My friend is a FLT store manager and recently just posted on Facebook saying a massive airline discount war is on at the moment with 260 return flights to bali for example - great service and open communication - so i try at all costs to put my money back through FLT 95% of the time if i can help it
