I'm with you DB.
I always go straight to the bottom of the page and look at the copyright year... in this case '2011'
Speaking from experience, this tells me they do not employ a web designer who manages their online presence. You can employ as many developers as you like but they are not designers. They are either one or the other, two sides of the brain sort of thing. So advertising for a developer to design as part of job spec will probably get you an average developer who can do average design work.
From experience again, a great in-house web/media designer has natural design flair, takes pride in their work and has unrelenting attention to detail, actively works in with the developers and company's management to produce a vision that can turned into an online presence that portrays your company as focused, driven, dynamic, professional who make you want to be part of the team, the vision, the end goal...and ultimately to invest in.
As Jordan Peterson says, how can you change the world when you can't even keep your bedroom tidy.
I think the evolis e-commerce sites are pretty good but the Cellmid main site, needs a total overhaul. Dump it and start from scratch.
Anyway my 2-cents worth over my Sunday morning coffee.
Looking forward to the 4C... long term holder.
