Great to hear in the Investor Briefing that we should expect to hear an announcement around the "June timeframe" about there foray into the video market to challenge HDMI.......

That's great because despite having 80% of its current market Digital Market which is still in its infancy AD8's revenues can only grow as fast as adoption and with 300 plus new products in the last 6 months that adoption is moving fairly rapidly.......It can't exactly get more salesmen to sell ; the actual industry is doing that for Dante exceptionally well.  A quick search on youtube will show a host of independent operators spruiking how cool Dante is........

In my travels I found an interview with Randy Lee the Director of Strategic and Channel Marketing with Revolabs, a company that Yamaha purchased in 2014. Revolabs produces equipment for the conference market which includes the educational space.  Revolabs uses AVB, not Dante.

What is interesting about this video is that it discusses the time frames for product deveopment, Yamaha's reationship with Dante and AVB from an AVB Users perspective and 6min 48 the acknowledgement that Dante is in VIDEO mentioned by a supporter of a competing Dante technology.

The great thing with the addition of Video into Dante product range is that its not likely to be another pharmacuetical company making another drug in an unrelated ailment, Dante has already been breaking down the doors..........its more akin to turning a cheeseburger into a big mac............there is just more for Dante to have.

This link discusses AVB and Dante by Professor John Huntington a Professor of Entertainment Technology..........the guy in charge of teaching tomorrows next generation.......interestingly he puts the timeline for Dantes technology at least to 15 years.

Being the son of a musician,  there is a sizeable market for live musicians globally who appreciate this technology as it saves an incredible amount of time in setup..........and knowing how little they get paid....its likely they will hold onto the technology for a lot longer. To change technology sometimes turning off the analogue towers TV signals forces people to adopt to digital.............once people change to the new standard they are loathed, unless its a phone to, change again.......

Dante is becoming the WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM of Audio. I was reminded of this by analogy by this artcile https://stratechery.com/2017/amazons-operating-system/
