Top 20 is in the annual report. Can get full shareholder list from share registry, most likely at a cost unless you have a tame broker who will get it for you.

One thing I noticed after looking at the list in the 2017 annual report is that the list states that the total number of shares held by the top 20 is 501 million (19.32%) when in fact it is 799 million (30.76%). So they have not included the largest shareholder in the totals (John Rix Davidson), presumably because the shares were/are escrowed (half until 6 Dec 2017 and half until Dec 6 2018).

Anyway, the top 20 own 30% (at least it was until John Davidson started selling). Obviously not everyone in the list is institutions or related to the company (e.g. individuals or SMSFs like us).

I've made the Top 20 list into a google spreadsheet here. If anyone is interested I can add anyone who'd like to the list (anonymously or otherwise), but I suspect not a great number of the owners of the other 70% of the shares hang out on HC). Better still, if anyone has access to the complete share registry I could add the lot!

Anyway I'd say that if independent shareholders could mobilise they (we) might be able have an impact, e.g. on the remuneration report. In another stock I hold, some HC members got together and tallied their holdings and it came to 5.8% of the company capital.
