Oct quarterly said the mine was progressing fine. They had moved the waste and were into the ore, ramping up to 860+ tonnes a day. So they have had 3 solid months of ore mining
They release every individual minor milestone of the project, like:
-Clearing permits approval
-Works approval
-Start of mining
-First ore delivery
But somehow not first revenue from mining?? (still waiting for this one over two months)
So i would say that yes the mining is going to plan but the grade is not. Looks to me that the project is breakeven if the mined grade is 1.6 g/t (or ~27% below forecast), this is certainly very possible in a nuggety deposit like this.
Im guessing they have had a few disappointing batches and holding off announcing figuring out why the grade is low or hoping it will get better. Remember in the Oct quarterly, mined grade was 1.58 g/t (below cutoff) against an average of 2.2g/t, whether this is as planned or not isnt known but it cant fill anyone with too much confidence
