FY2012 results are due around the end of the month. It'll be interesting to see the numbers.
Management has forecast walnut production to increase from a little over 2000 tonnes in FY2011 to just under 4000 tonnes in FY2012. But how much profit per tonne?
The company said in February that economic conditions 'were difficult in many [export] markets' but it still expected an improved profit before tax, though it was 'too early to provide specific guidance'. Nothing from the company since then.
The share price has stayed firm and sellers have remained scarce, so on that basis I'm hopeful of a reasonable result.
