Anticline with oil seepage...
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. On 29/11/07, GGX chairman said of Kate:
"– a rare beast in the current oil and gas climate!"
An oil seep was uncovered on the flank of the Kate anticline during geotechnical works in 2003. With any success, the location approximately 50 kms north of Christchurch should not present any significant development problems for either oil or gas production.
