I will tell you why the Gunns offer is received with sceptisim:-
1. Supported by the banks and their puppets MN; 2. Last offer out and actually with the least detail; 3. Bell Potter report outlines how profitable a successful offer would be if the Gunns proposal got up - from year 1. 4. Blacktree (that I dont endorse they simply make some good points) have clearly not been given a level playing field in the submission process; and 5. It is the GROWERS decision who looks after the trees - let them decide in a equitable voting process based on information from ALL bidders; and lastly 6. Gunns are holding their meeting practically on Christmas Eve - if that were an ASX announcement, everyone on this thread knows that companies who announce stuff for example late on a Friday afternoon, usually dont wont alot of coverage. therfore, Why is Gunns having this meeting (endorsed by the Receiver / Banks) so close to Christmas to a big bunch of very confused Growers?
