Today they are saying it would cost $35 billion plus to replicate QRN.
Rememeber as well that long term contacts are locked in for freight. Coal can go up and down in price. QRN is not effected.
It will continie to march closer to the $5 billion plus cap that the big miners were going to pay anyway.
I know QRN well and the potential for new contracts is huge. West Austrailan wheat, WA Mid west Iron ore, General freight. New Infrastrusture contracts. The list goes on and on.
Then add business rationalization and you have a very positive robust outlook.
Some stupid Australian investors get lead by the nose.
Those of us in QRN went against the massive negative tide and are being rewarded for our research and belief.
