This is pretty much what I predicted about six months ago. FWIW I think long-termers should hold, spec buyer may find EOS makes sense soon (at lower prices).

In terms of fundamentals, I think the reason for this drop is the "space division". As many here know, EOS was developing a laser-based system for tracking space junk, hoping to sell data collected by their tracking system to satellite operators. This speculative investment was an interesting idea, but it's over-hyped and now a liability.

The CSIRO-backed (and very cheap) FM broadcast method shows better accuracy than EOS's laser method, with virtually no need for infrastructure. This means that CSIRO can sell the data that EOS is yet to collect at a far far lower cost - and because CSIRO is a government agency, other governments are naturally going to be more comfortable dealing with them. The space division is now a white elephant that needs to be written down immediately. It's just costing money with no future market. As I say, it was an interesting idea, but it's obsolete.

Disclosure: I currently have no position in EOS, it is, however, on a watch list should it become a bargain, likely after that write down.
