The demerger of property assets brings in money to allow the development of Sydney proprtt.
They need this cash to avoid dilution to complete the construction. This was hanging over SP like a ghost.
Now the funding has potentially sorted out.
Macau and other assets separated allows to those to be valued by the market. Mr Packer could pick these off with a buyout when opportunity presents itself.
The currently higher quality assets will be valued appropriately.
I just hope shareholders retail get an opportunity to subscribe to the property assets as this IPO will be highly sort after.
