I have a problem with the way the term "risk" is used, just as investment and speculation are confused so risk is misunderstood.
Shareprice fluctuations (beta) are not "risk" they are opportunity.
My main protection from risk is understanding what I own and paying a low price.
Realistically I only have time for 3-5 stocks as I work full time.
40% is certainly more than I would typically hold in one stock for the aforementioned reasons.
Disruption is always something to watch for but there are a number of technical challenges to overcome first. I wish STO was spending it's money being part of the solution rather than focussing on the rape if one of the last bits of Aussie bush in the Pillaga.
