    LOL, I have been predicting this for over a decade - probably 15 years at least.  Maybe I finally got it right?
    Whereas I previously thought this was a problem of the decline and decline of  America, I now see it as a world wide phenomena.  I mean is any country doing well?  China included.
    I look at 2 primary causes.  
    An absolute lack of leadership or vision by all politicians worldwide and the take over of jobs by machines.
    Whereas previously computerisation created jobs now it is replacing jobs.  As for leadership, it seems nobody has a future vision - save the UN which is hell bent on establishing an Islamic world.
    My little vision of the future is that people will be paid to stay home and play their VR games and have all the necessities of life provided by the state.
    The only people with jobs will be those clever enough to be needed to program the machines.

    PS I might add, I hope this is a peaceful transition - but I doubt it.
